…who has way too much fun playing with flowers!
— that’s how Carrie M. Cassidy-Struble, owner of The Flower Diva, Inc. defines herself and the name of her Pineville floral shop. Carrie initially went to college to pursue a career in art therapy, until a friend asked her to spend a summer working at a flower shop.
She graduated from Alfred State College with a degree in floriculture merchandising, which planted the seed of a new career and Carrie blossomed into a floral designer in her own right. Since 1998, Carrie “the Flower Diva” has been gracing the Charlotte area with her designing abilities and creativity. In 2005, Carrie opened up her own business and has been on a non-stop flight to success ever since. Weddings are a specialty at The Flower Diva, with Carrie promising “one-of-a-kind floral designs for one-of-a-kind brides.”
Carrie works closely with brides to create an experience that’s both delightful and beautiful. “We’re here to have fun and let our clients be a part of our Diva club,” she says. The Flower Diva has handled arrangements for an array of well-known national businesses, including Louis Vuitton, Dillards and Tommy Bahama. Carrie even did an event for the actor Will Ferrell. Despite the big names the shop has served, you’ll find the prices quite small.
“Bling-bling, not cha-ching” is how Carrie describes the service-to-price ratio here. The friendly staff includes Greg Weir, Carrie’s personal assistant, Shannon “little bit” Hall, who does a little bit of everything, and the Queen Bee, Sally Adams. With a combined 19 years experience in the floral industry, they can accommodate your floral needs with creativity and enthusiasm. Next time you want flowers, take your request to the funky chick at The Flower Diva.
